As a conservative candidate for the Board of Education, I believe in fostering academic excellence while upholding traditional values in our schools. I will advocate for rigorous curriculum standards that prioritize core subjects like math, science, history, and English, ensuring our students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in college and beyond. Additionally, I will support programs that instill moral and ethical values, emphasizing respect, responsibility, and character development.

Parents are the primary stakeholders in their children's education, and their input should be valued and respected. I will work to increase parental involvement in decision-making processes at the school and district levels, empowering parents to play a more active role in shaping their children's educational experience. Furthermore, I will advocate for school choice policies that allow parents to choose the best educational options for their children, whether traditional public schools, charter schools, private schools, or homeschooling.

As a steward of taxpayer dollars, I will prioritize fiscal responsibility and efficiency in managing the Board of Education's budget. I will scrutinize expenditures to ensure that taxpayer funds are used wisely and effectively to support student learning and achievement. By eliminating waste and streamlining operations, we can maximize resources and provide the highest quality education while minimizing the burden on taxpayers.

I believe in the importance of local control and accountability in education. I will work to empower local school boards, administrators, and educators to make decisions that best meet the needs of their students and communities. At the same time, I will hold schools accountable for academic performance and fiscal stewardship, advocating for transparent reporting and accountability measures that ensure taxpayer dollars are being used responsibly.

Our teachers and staff are the backbone of our education system and deserve our full support and appreciation. I will advocate for competitive salaries, professional development opportunities, and resources to help teachers excel. Additionally, I will work to create a positive and supportive work environment that values the contributions of all school employees.

I believe in the importance of teaching our students about our nation's founding principles and the value of active citizenship. I will advocate for a robust American history and civics education curriculum that provides students with a deep understanding of our nation's history, government, and democratic ideals. By equipping students with knowledge of our nation's past and their rights and responsibilities as citizens, we can prepare them to be informed and engaged participants in our democracy.

In today's rapidly changing world, it's essential that our students have the skills and knowledge to succeed in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. I will advocate for increased emphasis on STEM education, including hands-on learning opportunities, partnerships with local industries, and career and technical education programs that prepare students for high-demand jobs in STEM-related fields. By equipping students with STEM skills and knowledge, we can ensure they are prepared for success in the 21st-century economy.

Creating safe and secure learning environments is essential for student success. I will work to strengthen school safety measures, including implementing proven strategies such as increased security personnel, enhanced emergency preparedness training, and improved mental health support services for students. By prioritizing our students' and staff's safety and well-being, we can create environments where learning can thrive.

I believe in the power of collaboration and partnerships between schools, families, businesses, and community organizations. I will work to forge strong relationships with community partners to enhance educational opportunities for students, expand access to resources and support services, and promote greater community engagement in our schools. Working together can create a more supportive and enriching educational experience for all students.

Open and transparent communication is essential for building trust and accountability in our schools. I will prioritize transparency in decision-making processes, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged in important issues affecting our schools. Additionally, I will seek feedback from parents, students, teachers, and community members to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. By fostering a culture of transparency and communication, we can build stronger relationships and partnerships that benefit our schools and community.
